PDS principals have worked together for over two decades


 

David Sweeny

David Sweeny received his degree in economics and finance from the University of Vermont and has been dedicated to real estate development since 1991.  He was the founding CEO of Greenpoint Manufacturing and Design Center (GMDC) and founding CEO of Civic Builders, each of them sector-specific commercial/industrial non-profit real estate organizations. 

Sweeny has financed roughly $350 million in various purchase, rehabilitation and new construction projects which have included multi-building industrial portfolios, affordable housing developments, special purpose medical and community facilities projects and education facilities.  His urban redevelopment projects have been recognized with awards, including the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, the Rudy Brunner Award, the League of Conservation Voters Preservation Award and the Union Square Award. 

 

Tomasz Naklicki

Tomasz Naklicki is a licensed real estate broker who is responsible for PDS acquisitions, leasing, accounting and property management.  A 20 year real estate veteran, Tomasz has acquired and leased dozens of large vacant industrial buildings and oversees the management of a large variety of PDS portfolio and third-party properties across the City. 

Trained in administrative law in Poland, Naklicki heads all site selection efforts and is the point of contact for all tenant communications, leasing and property management.  Naklicki also was a key team-member responsible for creating the Greenpoint Manufacturing and Design Center in North Brooklyn, where his rehabilitation and job creation accomplishments were recognized with the HUD Urban Excellence Award and the Bloomberg Urban Innovation Award.

 

Jonathan Pearlroth

Jonathan Pearlroth is an attorney, and is responsible for select property management and finance functions, as well as overseeing PDS compliance and government relations activities.  Pearlroth has sourced financing for the preservation of select architecturally significant structures, work that has been acknowledged in publications including Architectural Digest, Dwell, and the New York Times. His other legal work has involved securities work in capital markets.

 

Peter sweeny

Peter Sweeny AIA is a registered architect who has spearheaded all of the design and development planning for PDS acquisitions, rehabilitations and newly constructed buildings.  A Graduate of Cooper Union, he is project architect for the 497 Carroll Street building which is under construction and has overseen all design work for many complex PDS renovations, including large-scale historic industrial properties and residential developments in historic districts. 

Peter’s design work has included many certified historic preservation tax credit projects and urban planning initiatives sponsored by Bard College, Pratt Center, the Empire State Economic Development Corporation and the New York City Economic Development Corporation.

 

 

 

Mariusz Cwalina

Mariusz Cwalina heads all renovation, new construction, cost estimating and property maintenance and repair for PDS.  He serves as PDS representative overseeing new building construction at 497 Carroll and supervises renovation and repair work across the portfolio.  Cwalina also provides advisory services to a handful of non-profit institutions engaged in the design and construction of schools, education facilities and recreation/community centers.  Cwalina was also part of the founding Greenpoint Manufacturing and Design Center and his design and preservation work while at GMDC was recognized with an award from Architects, Designers and Planners for Social Responsibility.  Besides his building work, Cwalina has pioneered large-scale commercial solar installations at GMDC and is currently managing two solar installations on PDS rooftops located in Brooklyn.
